WHITE PAGE (From Jaipur to Horchha)
North India. January 2011. A journey in the fog. A trip by car.
The mist covered an apparently empty landscape. Then shapes started to emerge out of this white page.
I took these images along the road (400 km,form jaipur to Horcha) surprised by how lines and life were expelled from the landscape.
The images show a cold and monochrome India. Those selective extracts of reality, full of theatricality, draw an authentic poem of customs. The sharp and mysterious compositions look like the romantic landscape paintings.
Humans appear as a temporal inhabitant of Nature, where objects are slightly recognizable and rutinary life goes on discretely.
