MUSEUM KEEPERS
Within the museum there are several realities. One of them is the mysterious presence of the room guards. In a discreet way, they eventually form part of the artistic landscape and create their own sacred aura.
In the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg this became clearer to me than in any other place seen before. Those Russian women also let us perceive a part of society that does not belong to Imperial Russia offered to visitors and tourists.
I took pictures with my mobile phone. It is an unprofessional tool but highly useful for taking curious notes, in a discreet manner and in a travel-diary style. It is perhaps the appropriate device, despite the imperfect technical results, to photograph the "backstage" of art.
